What is Challenge Garvagh 20:12?
The Community in and around Garvagh are experiencing a huge Challenge in this Olympic year of 2012. Three Churches in the town, First Garvagh Presbyterian, Main Street Garvagh Presbyterian and St Paul’s Parish Church together with the TBF and KL Thompson Trust will present the community with a challenge to "A Life Worth Living" with various events and competitions throughout 2012.
What's Happening in Garvagh?
Please keep an eye on our Events Pages as the months go by and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook. All year there will be activities for Children, Youth and Adults - for EVERYONE, every denomination, every person who lives in, works in, drives through or visits Garvagh.
All these activities will culminate in a two-week event running from 4th to 18th of November in the Engineering Workshop at TBF Thompsons which will have been transformed into a large comfortable Auditorium seating up to 1,000 people with parking for over 400 cars. The Challenge Team have invited an inspiring and relevant speaker, Jim Stewart, from Latham St Mark's Church at Perth in Scotland.
On Sunday 5th February the three churches held a "Back to Church Sunday" when they invited everyone to Church, especially those who perhaps have lapsed in attendance for one reason or another or those who have never been to Church. There was an encouraging turn out in all three churches and it is hoped that everyone there will Come Back to Church every Sunday! If you didn’t make it back on 5th February please come this Sunday. First Garvagh Presbyterian at 11.30am; Main Street Presbyterian at 11.00am and St Paul’s Parish at 11.00am. We would love to see you!
